Food and School Supply Drives

We all love our Oakland Mills community and want to see it thrive. Especially since the entire first semester of the 2020-2021 school year is online, we want to make sure that students within the Oakland Mills community have all the necessary supplies needed in order to learn at home. We plan to have a school supply drive for our students later this month. Stay tuned for more information and how you can donate.

Help support our local food pantry at Oakland Mills High School by donating canned and nonperishable items to make sure that the families within our community have food, especially during these uncertain times.

Ohana HC

Ohana HC is excited to announce their expansion into supporting our students at Oakland Mills High School and is in need for mentors to work with our students! If you are interested in supporting our students as a mentor, please attend one of their information sessions. They are in need of many more young adult mentors between the ages of 18 - 30, with a goal to place one young adult into each of the 32 Ohanas; eight will be at Oakland Mills.

The Mission of The Oakland Mills Local Leadership Team (OMLLT) is to mobilize residents of the Oakland Mills Village to build an equitable and cohesive community where children, youth and families thrive. This brief and anonymous survey will identify the needs and challenges that are being faced by families and youth in Oakland Mills through COVID-19, and guide the development of strategies and programs to address these barriers. The youth survey focuses on young people between the ages of 9 – 25 years and the adult survey focuses on adults 25 years and above. The survey is available in English and Spanish. Please take a moment to complete this online survey by May 31, 2021. Online versions of the adult and youth surveys are available at https://oakland-mills-community-survey.constantcontactsites.com/
