Job Overview
The Learning and Development Director is responsible for being the lead program teacher and facilitator for our Leadership in Action programming and for other programming as necessary. This entails teaching lessons to students in middle and high schools virtually and in-person. The Learning and Development Director will work with the Curriculum Design Officer to develop curriculum and lesson plans for the organization and evaluate lesson effectiveness through evaluations.
Reports To
The Learning and Development Director will report to the Chief Program Officer
Time Commitment
This role requires between 2-15 hours per MONTH
Preferred/Required Experiences

This position requires teaching lessons for our Leadership in Action program. This entails teaching materials to students in grades 6-12.

Must be in high school or above

Previous experience through student clubs/organizations preferred

Interest in education and teaching is a plus

Ability to work with educators and groups is required

Strong writing ability

Strong public speaker and presenter is required
Core Responsibilities and Duties

Lead teacher and facilitator for our Leadership in Action programming

Teaches and or facilitates OMU programming

Works with the Curriculum Design Officer to create, design, and implement all curriculum into student programming

Manage multiple curriculum design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the development and implementation of curriculum materials.

Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on outcomes to senior management.

Ensure the curriculum and programming aligns with the organization's mission, educational standards, and target audience's needs.

Lead or assist all organizational staff/volunteer training to support all programming and organizational operations
