THERE ARE MANY WAYS YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Academic Tutoring

Our Community Tutoring Program is one of our most essential programs. Designed to provide a consistent and reliable free community tutoring program for grades K-12 in a variety of subjects, we aim to connect students with student tutors to help foster academic success both inside and outside the classroom.

We are in need of tutors for this crucial program. Each tutor would be committed to a MINIMUM of 20 minutes a week (one hour a month). Our brief application and additional information can be found in the slides below.

You will be provided training prior to volunteering for this program. This training will provide all information needed to successfully volunteer and make an impact in our community.

If you have any questions please contact us or email our Tutoring Program Coordinators at tutoringomu@gmail.com

Volunteer to Become a Tutor

Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a tutor for our program! Please review all the requirements to become a tutor. Service hours are available for students who request them

College Mentorship

We have TWO College Support Programs: 1:1 College Mentorship Sessions and College Mentorship Groups.

We are in need of current college students or individuals familiar with the college application process to volunteer to help guide current high school seniors through the college application process via our programs.

Time commitments vary throughout the year:

Volunteers interested in 1:1 College Mentorship Sessions should know that each session lasts 20 minute. This program runs throughout the application process (August-March). Volunteers should be available during these months for a MINIMUM of 20 minutes a week (one hour per month).

Volunteers interested in becoming a Mentor for a College Mentorship Group should know that this responsibility lasts from August-Decision Day (usually May 1st). There is no set weekly time commitment. You will be talking with your group on a daily basis, weekly basis, whatever your group choose. You (the mentor) will talk to your group about your journey, answer any questions, address concerns, and provide  advice based off your experiences. You will be there for your group throughout your ENTIRE college application journey and provide constant support for your group to encourage and support them every step of the way.

You will be provided training prior to volunteering for this program. This training will provide all information needed to successfully volunteer and make an impact in our community.
