Howard County Announces Oakland Mills United as a Youth Engagement Programming (YEP!) Recipient

YEP! Funding will allow for Year Round Student Leadership Programming

Columbia, MD - Today, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball announced the recipients of Howard County’s transformative Youth Engagement Programming (YEP!) initiative. Oakland Mills United is proud to be one of 30 nonprofit organizations to be awarded this funding. “As a recipient of the YEP! Grant, we are excited to offer in-depth year round student leadership programming to support all middle and high school students across Howard County” said Samuel Hahn, Executive Director & CEO of Oakland Mills United. “With this funding we are excited to launch our Leadership in Action program this fall to equip our students with the tools, skills, and experience to be successful throughout their academic and professional journey. We look forward to developing an extensive student leadership curriculum and program that can provide students with skills both inside and outside the classroom to be the next generation of leaders".
